The MSI Creator TRX40 TRX4 E-ATX Motherboard is designed for professionals, enthusiasts, and gamers in the pursuit of performance. Built on the AMD TRX40 chipset, this motherboard supports 3rd gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors with a TRX4 socket. For maximum performance, users can install up to 256GB of quad-channel DDR4 memory with overclocked speeds of 4666 MHz. With four PCIe 4.0 x16 slots, this board can support up to 3-way NVIDIA SLI or AMD CrossFireX configurations. Storage options include multiple SATA III ports as well as three M.2 slots. An M.2 Xpander-Aero Gen4 card is also included, which provides users with four additional M.2 slots for even more room. Other notable integrated features include Aquantia AQC-107 10GbE, Intel I219V GbE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and Realtek ALC 1220 7.1-channel HD audio.

Cooling



The Creator TRX40 is equipped with multiple heatsinks in key areas to help dissipate heat. Additionally, 4-pin PWM/DC fan headers let users install and manage their fans as needed.






CPU



To ensure users can get the most out of their processor, the Creator TRX40 is built with multiple optimizations and enhancements such as Core Boost technology for an enhanced power layout design and delivery, 16+3 power phases, load-line calibration, overvoltage protection, and dual power connectors.






Memory



Optimized memory circuits and extensive testing enables high performance and stability. Users can easily enable A-XMP profiles within BIOS for overclocking.






Storage



Aside from the six SATA III ports on the motherboard, users have access to three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots and can install up to four more with the included M.2 Xpander-Aero Gen4 card.
